Mission Overview
Artemis I is a key flight in NASA's Artemis program. Uncrewed test flight of the Space Launch System and Orion spacecraft. Completed a distant retrograde orbit of the Moon and returned safely. The mission utilizes the advanced Space Launch System booster and Orion crew module, laying down the logistical loops to enable permanent habitation near the lunar south pole.
